Gerina Stevenson is a native of Mexico in the family of Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. The mother of two is a Mexican by blood but an American citizenship. From the time she was a kid, she's always had a strong interest in playing activities. Gerina began playing golf after she reached the age of 15. Gerina attended Goddard High School for her high school education. The school won her place in the New Mexico State Golf Tournament during her time in high school. She was a volleyball player and participated in state championships. At the age of 2003, she began her studies at the University of Texas. In the final seasons of her professional career, she had won every tournament where she played.
